Stargazer, a manufacturer of American-made cast iron cookware based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, was founded in 2015. Their highly-acclaimed skillets are renowned for their smooth surface finish and modern, practical design, designed for performance.

The founder, Peter Huntley, a housewares designer, became disenchanted by the lack of quality and accountability in modern goods manufactured overseas. Stargazer's skillets are made from domestically sourced, primarily recycled iron, melted at 2,800°F. The molten iron is refined, checked for purity, and then poured into molds made of sand and clay. The skillets undergo a hand-finishing process, where craftsmen grind and smooth any burrs or artifacts, before undergoing a proprietary two-step surface finish treatment. This yields the smooth, micro-textured cooking surface that has made Stargazer famous, designed to easily release food but hold onto seasoning.

Stargazer cookware is 100% non-toxic, made of grey iron, and tested multiple times to ensure it is free from toxins and heavy metals. The seasoning is a blend of canola, grapeseed, and sunflower oil, which is non-GMO, vegetarian/vegan friendly, and soy, peanut, and gluten-free.
